Referral forms
Support referrals
Please note that we operate a waiting list for support. We aim to start support within 6 months of receiving a referral for 90% of adults and within 3months for 90% of children (aged 13-17). As soon as you are top of the waiting list you will be contacted.
In the meantime, the Rape Crisis Scotland helpline offers confidential short-term, crisis and initial support by phone, email, webchat and text everyday between 5pm and midnight.

Advocacy referrals
Unfortunately, due to an overstretch of capacity, The STAR Centre: Rape Crisis Ayrshire Advocacy team are currently unable to accept any new advocacy referrals while we work through the referrals we have already committed to and recruit additional staff.
This situation will be reviewed in early Jan 2025 when we will hopefully be in a position to open back up to new referrals. Please check back with us in Jan if you would still like support reporting a sexual crime to the police or help deciding whether or not to report. Your details will be destroyed and not added to a waiting list.
Other support available
If you have been raped or sexually assaulted in the last seven days, you can self-refer to Archway Glasgow by phoning 0141 211 8175. There, specially trained female professionals can offer you: a forensic medal examination, emergency contraception and pregnancy testing, screening for sexually transmitted infections and support if you choose, to give a full statement to the police.
The Rape Crisis Scotland helpline offers confidential short-term, crisis and initial support by phone, email, webchat and text. The phone, email and webchat support is free and texts will be charged at your normal network rate. Calls to the helpline do not show on your bill. The helpline supports people of all genders living in Scotland aged 13+ who have been affected by sexual violence. It doesn’t matter what happened or how long ago, and you don’t have to talk about anything you don’t want to. We support survivors, as well as family, friends and supporters.
